A Tale of Two Cities ... and Technology
To say that things have been different as a result of Covid would be a massive understatement. Our travel cost line sums it up with an 80%+ reduction. Visits to clients have been minimal this year, and as a result a lot of new pipeline business has had to be postponed.
But alongside this other lines of business have expanded to compensate and new lines developed leading to a very busy period. We have assisted several clients in raising funds through British Business Bank. The most recent of these was Quantum Financial Group for whom the maximum possible amount of £5m was raised through British Business Bank Future Fund.
Internationally corporate finance activity has been high resulting in a heartening need to recruit again. Most recently we completed the re-structuring and a pre-IPO financing round for Omega Minerals Plc, a now UK based Canadian gold miner which will come to the London market in Q1 2022.
But alongside this other lines of business have expanded to compensate and new lines developed leading to a very busy period. We have assisted several clients in raising funds through British Business Bank. XPrime Markets Launched in January 2021
XPrime Markets Ltd was established in 2020 to be an FCA regulated institutional only brokerage. XPrime Markets is an 80% subsidiary of Oasis Capital Markets, part of the UK Oasis Capital Group with the remaining shares are held by senior management.
XPrime provides spot market execution services for our group proprietary trading, and for house accounts held by our asset manager and hedge fund clients. XPrime specialises in big ticket trades, delivering transparent competitive pricing along with minimal slippage. Where required, XPrime can be closely integrated with Proliquidity, another Oasis Group company, to provide realtime trade reporting, along with client and agency trade administration.
Jacob Nel, previously a senior member of our Singapore corporate finance team, and an ex CEO of Mex Exchange, joins Oasis Capital Group as CEO of XPrime Markets, and a director of Oasis Capital Group.

Offshore Fund Management Re-grouping
In July 2021 Oasis grouped its historic Cayman Islands based alternative fund management business, Alternative Capital Strategies (ACS Cayman Ltd) with the proprietary trading management business, Quantitative Trading Technologies (Quantech).
The Cayman Islands group draws on over ten years of knowledge, experience and outstanding success in fund management as a foundation to continue forward and drive future growth. Oasis Group London directors are present in the Cayman management and are approved by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) to represent the Cayman companies and to conduct investment business.
The group offers a variety of fixed term and open-ended specialist products both within the group, and also to our longstanding institutional clients and partners.

The trading system is also linked to ProLiquidity Live our back office reporting on all aspects of trading performance, allowing account holders full transparency and the ability to view account information in real time.
Proliquidity enabled trading is carried out by carefully selected, FCA regulated asset managers with many years of successful trading history. Details of past performance are available to eligible, registered users who have signed into the Proliquidity user area. Our chosen asset managers currently have in excess of $600m actively traded AUM, of which over $160m is in managed FX.
